How to be a new participant
To become a participant in Plastics are Forever you only need to care about the plastic marine debris issue. We have found exponential growth in the amount of plastic accumulating in the world’s oceans. The original findings of the Algalita Marine Research Foundation discovered a 6 to 1 ratio of plastic compared to the weight of all living things on the ocean surface. Eight years later in 2007 the ratio has increased by a factor of 10. We need all the help we can get to alert the world to a global problem.
